Chocolate Fondue Bachelorette or Bridal Shower Recipe
One of my most favorite bridal shower party ideas is a Fondue Party. It’s also great at a Bachelorette Party! If you’re not familiar with fondue, it involves a fabulous melted cheese, sauce or chocolate and a tray full of bread squares, meat, fruits or vegetables all cut in small pieces and dipped into the fondue pot and eaten directly from with a slender fondue fork. Fondue lends itself to long meals and wonderful conversation.
Fondue is a perfect recipe for any bridal shower or bachelorette party! Be sure to have plenty of plates and napkins on hand as it can get messy! Serve your fondue on one of these great bachelorette party patterns, baby shower themed party goods, or bridal shower paper goods.
If you are giving the bridal shower, why not surprise the guest of honor with her own fondue set and a copy of our Fondue recipe? She’ll remember this party every time she uses the set.
Now start cutting that fruit!
Chocolate Fondue
- RECIPE INGREDIENTS
- 3 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon brewed espresso (see Kitchen Tip)
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 1 banana, peeled and cut into 8 pieces
- 8 1-inch chunks fresh pineapple
- 4 strawberries
Kitchen Tip: If you don’t have an espresso maker, look for instant espresso powder at your supermarket.
FBAB tip: The chocolate will stiffen if it gets cold, so enjoy it while it’s still warm. Skewer and dip anything you like’”pear slices, dried apricots, even marshmallows.
Directions
Place chocolate, cream, espresso, vanilla and salt in a medium microwave-safe bowl; microwave on Medium, stirring every 20 seconds, until melted, 1 to 2 minutes.
Pour the chocolate mixture into a serving bowl. Serve with fruit.
