1. Please tell us a little bit about your business/site?

For BrideandBaby.com’s website offers visitors the best bridal, maternity, baby products and gifts, all on one site. Our interactive search capabilities help busy women find and compare products. Two other great features of the site are the informative articles and up-to-the-minute notice of recalls, scams and important news of interest to women. Subscribers also have exclusive access to money saving coupons.

2. How long have you been in business?

I have been in the baby and bridal business for over thirty years. Twenty years ago, I was the owner of Northbrook, Illinois based Kreative Kids and Parties, Inc.; I taught music and imagination classes to local children ages two through five. I also created a music and imagination class that I performed at children’s birthday parties. Kids and their moms still run up to me on the street and tell me I sang at their parties. From those parties came a personalized entertainment service selecting and contracting over fifty entertainers for all types of events. Several years later, I opened a complete party goods store providing the party goods and goody bags for children’s parties and favors and centerpieces for weddings, bar mitzvahs and other celebrations and events. Though on its third owner, Kreative Parties is still a prominent business in the North Chicago suburbs.

3. Is your business online, or a physical location or both?

Online only

4. What do you enjoy most about running your business/site?

There are two things that come to mind. The first is that I love learning new things and having a website, but without having formal training, is quite an adventure. I learn a new skill every day and I think this is vital to staying young! The second is equally important: every day I get to listen and talk to young women all over the country. I love seeing their baby pictures and I love hearing their input. I’ve created an advisory board on Facebook, so I can keep in touch with these busy women often.

5. Is there a favorite product or service that you offer?

For the holidays, I am implementing a program that will allow women to email me asking me to find a specific product. After I search for it, I will send them a link. I hope this will save lots of time and money for the women and, of course, that they buy it through our site.

6. Anything else you would like to share about your business? Being a working Mom? Etc

I’d like to share a little bit about affiliate marketing and websites like, ForBrideAndBaby.com that use it. Every time a person goes to a website they see advertising for various products. Most people don’t know that these ads aren’t always placed by the merchant, but often by websites like mine that receive a commission for sales brought to the merchant’s site. I think this is important because knowing that by purchasing the products on my website is the only way websites like mine profit, might help build customer loyalty.
I also would like your visitors to know that I’ve been a working mom for over thirty years and my daughters could not have turned out better!

Remember, ForBrideandBaby redirects you to the merchant’s site, but be sure to click from our site through to the merchant’s site to receive any promotions or special offers.  Not ready to purchase right now?  Be sure to bookmark this page!
